Course Description

Join milliner Mary Jane Baxter and learn how to make the Merchant & Mills Bucket Hat on this 2 day course. The hat, which will be a fantastic edition to your spring/summer wardrobe and is perfect for sunny days, is a unisex style and comes with either a small or large brim. This course is not suitable for sewists with no experience. You must have completed the equivalent of our All Sewn Up course for beginners in order to take part. Participants will need to download the FREE PDF pattern from Merchant & Mills and buy their own suitable fabric. Mary Jane Baxter is a qualified milliner, who worked for two years with Stephen Jones Millinery She is the author of The Modern Girl's Guide to Hatmaking and is the editor-in-chief of HATalk magazine. We now require a £10.00. If this is a problem, please contact: learning@gcda.org.uk. Please bring your proof of ID & NI number to the first session of the course, as an enrolment form needs to be completed. Once you have registered you have agreed to our terms & conditions.
