Across eight sessions we’ll provide you with a step-by-step guide to planning and launching a business. Covering everything from company registration to product development, we’ll help you identify routes to market, show you how to manage your finances and market your services. We’ll teach you how to get started on the road to business success.
Led by tutors with decades of business experience, our course is perfect for anyone who is bored at work, has a desire to be their own boss, or those keen to find a way back to a rewarding, or more flexible, career after being away from the workplace.
We’ve already helped many small businesses get off the ground, from street food stalls to interior designers. You could be next.
Learning Objectives:
Analyse aims and identify a personal development plan
Develop a feasibility study and market research to assess the viability of business idea
Identify the most appropriate legal structure
Describe the process of financial management and how this applies to the business
Develop and practice using a profit and loss spreadsheet including start-up budget
Review marketing and branding techniques and develop a communications plan
Using all this information, complete a business plan to get up and running.
Identify sources of funding
