Course Description
This course is for parents and carers of 2 – 4 year olds to find out more about planning and preparing healthy, delicious, affordable food with practical cooking and a sit down meal included.
The sessions are delivered by highly experienced qualified community trainers and throughout the course parents will support their children to explore new foods, instilling better habits for later in life for them to eat healthily and have an interest in food.
We will:
Cover a range of healthy eating messages including the Eat Well Guide, 5-a-day and reducing sugar and salt
Prepare 10 new recipes, trying different ingredients and cooking techniques.
Recognise age-appropriate abilities and skills for toddlers.
Explore ways to interact with children during mealtimes.
