Set up a Community Garden

Ever wanted to set up a communtiy garden? This training will show how!

Course Description

This course covers the main things to be considered when setting up a community garden. We will explore real-life scenarios to anticipate some of the potential challenges involved and how they might be overcome. By the end of the course you'll be able: Be able to list examples of what resources are required Be able to describe how they would lay out a community garden to be inclusive of disabilities and different age groups, demonstrating an awareness of how to adapt the space to accommodate them Be able to describe a service users’ agreement and explain why it is necessary Be able to propose a schedule of works to maintain the garden over the next 5 years, anticipating how the structures in the garden will degrade over time and formulate a plan to deal with this Date to be announced.
