GCDA Funded to run more training!

We're delighted to say we were successful in our bid to the Royal Borough of Greenwich to not only continue running our increible training programmes, but to considerably expand our offer.  We have added loads of exciting new courses such as gardening, sewing, more business support and more cooking skills.  Mel Taylor, Head of Learning said 'we're absolutely excstatic to have been awarded such a large contract from the council.  It's a real testament to the quality and breadth of training we offer that the council had such faith in re-commissioning us for the next 2 years'.

The contract started on the 1st August, and now we're super busy preparing the new website and promoting the training.  We can't wait to get started and hope to welcome you onto a course soon!

What's your Awesome Story?

Our brand new course - Telling your Story - How to make PR work for your business - is run by our very own Mary Jane Baxter. Mary Jane has been with GCDA for nearly 3 years, having joined us from a very successful career in PR.  She has been busy curating our increible Made in Greenwich shop - a veritable treasure trove of stunning handmade items of clothes, jewellery, pottery, soaps, cards, pictures and so much - all made by local Greenwich artists.

Many of the artists displayed in the shop came through GCDA training and now benefit from further support from MJ in how to tell their story. So successful was this, and so great was the need, we've turned it into a 3 week training course for all businesses to benefit from!

We're very excited to be able to offer such a unique course, from such an experienced and knowledgable colleauge, so don't miss out!  Contact Georgia@gcda.org.uk to find out more or find dates under Support for New Businesses
