Course Description
Sewing is an essential life skill, and this course teaches those basics, whilst also instilling the importance of repairing and reusing for environmental and budgeting reasons. You will work on a small project.
To get the most from this course, you must attend all sessions, and it is essential you attend the first session.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
Describe and list sewing machine basics; what should be in a sewing kit?
Learn how to use a machine, work on a project to make an item from beginning to end.
Demonstrate simple hand-finishing techniques
Sew buttons, hems and other minor mends and alterations
