Course Description

Tell your story in threads at the Woolwich Library every Monday afternoon from 1.30-4 in the design of our Greenwich Tapestry guided by Sheila Louis. My aims are that all who attend work together to explore their connection with the Royal borough of Greenwich through stitch. (The Bayeux Tapestry of Greenwich) On the course we will Share our history/connection with the borough of Greenwich while you stitch. No previous experience required just the willingness to learn and be part of this on-going project. As part of the project, you will develop * Your own stitch library * Techniques that can be used for the transferring of a design * Stitches to outline and a lot more B.N. There will be no session on 6th & 27th May 2024 If the course is full To be added to the wait list please contact our office: training@gcda.org.uk You will be eligible to get the deposit back if you attend every session. Or, if you can’t attend, you must: · Email or contact the tutor or admin team on Training@gcda.org.uk to let them know you can’t make it. · Still attend at least 70% of the course. Do not book on if you think you cannot attend 70% of the course. · Please give as much notice as possible. · If you don’t show up and don’t get in touch, you will lose your deposit. If leaving a £10 deposit is a barrier because of financial difficulties, please contact training@gcda.org.uk to talk to us about this
