Course Description

New start-up businesses are passionate about their ideas and products, but often don't know how to get these messages across. Excellent story telling is at the heart of successful businesses, and this course aims to upskill people to be able to tell compelling, convincing stories that will increase their customer base and increase revenues. By the end of the course you'll be able to: • Identify the key elements of a successful and compelling story • Understand how an effective personal story can enhance your product or service • Learn how to write an engaging 'about me' story for use on your website • Understand the concept of a press release and be able to construct your own • Pinpoint opportunities for positive PR and networking to help grown your brand This is a short, 4 session course with some additional work to be completed between sessions. As such it is important that you commit to attending all of the sessions. IMPORTANT NOTE: As this training will be online, once you have registered your interest in attending this course, you will need to use this link to complete your online enrolment via Royal Borough of Greenwich's Web Enrol System: https://www.webenrol.com/greenwich/?page=detail&courseCode=MBJUL24&catID=13&locationID=& If you have not completed your web enrolment prior to the start date of the course you will not be able to join the course. Please note this course is fully funded for London residents. If you live outside London, please contact georgia@gcda.org.uk for more information about costs. Due to large numbers of people booking onto our courses and not turning up, we are now taking a £10 deposit for each course to help ensure attendance. You will be eligible to get the deposit back if you attend every session. Or, if you can’t attend, you must: · Email or contact the tutor or admin team on Training@gcda.org.uk to let them know you can’t make it. · Still attend at least 70% of the course. Do not book on if you think you cannot attend 70% of the course. · You must give 24 hours notice to be eligible for the refund. · If you don’t show up and don’t get in touch, you will lose your deposit. If leaving a £10 deposit is a barrier because of financial difficulties, please contact training@gcda.org.uk to talk to us about this
