Course Description

There are so many reasons to start a business, even more to start an ethical one, and we can show you how. This course is designed as a follow on from GCDA’s full business courses and will focus on • The legal structures and governance models commonly used for social enterprises • Market research or ‘community needs’ when considering the market for your social enterprise • Achieving the balance between income generation and social outcomes. The course is run by our CEO Claire Pritchard, an expert in this field. Please note this course is fully funded for London residents. If you live outside London, please contact georgia@gcda.org.uk for more information about costs. Contact us at training@gcda.org.uk if you have any queries. Please also use this email address if the course is fully booked and you would like to be placed on a reserve list. Due to large numbers of people booking onto our courses and not turning up, we are now taking a £10 deposit for each course to help ensure attendance. You will be eligible to get the deposit back if you attend every session. Or, if you can’t attend, you must: · Email or contact the tutor or admin team on Training@gcda.org.uk to let them know you can’t make it. · Still attend at least 70% of the course. Do not book on if you think you cannot attend 70% of the course. · You must give 24 hours notice to be eligible for the refund. · If you don’t show up and don’t get in touch, you will lose your deposit If leaving a £10 deposit is a barrier because of financial difficulties, please contact training@gcda.org.uk to talk to us about this. You must request for the return of the deposit. This request must be made within 7 days of the course finishing.
